On February 17, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s 1869 Society threw a “Things That POP” party,inspired by the gallery’s recent exhibition “Andy Warhol: Social Observer.” The event featuredlive disco music, an Andy Warhol impersonator and a silent auction. Named for the year theCorcoran was established, the 1869 Society numbers nearly 1,000 members who are active,young professionals and offers special art-related programs and events. Proceeds from the eveningbenefitted the Corcoran’s award-winning educational and community outreach programs.
