It was a night of bewitching beauties at theopening of Washington Ballet’s 25th anniversaryseason on November 1. Performances ofGeorge Balanchine’s The Four Temperamentsand Choo-San Goh’s In the Glow of the Nightpreceded the world premiere of ArtisticDirector Septime Webre’s sexy, stylized versionof Carmen with Michele Jimenez as thebewitching, young gypsy woman. On hand forthe festivities were Queen Noor, Jim Kimsey,Spanish Ambassador Javier Ruperez, ColombianAmbassador Luis Alberto Moreno, SingaporeAmbassador Heng Chee Chan and EcuadoranAmbassador Ivonne A-Baki (doing her ownshare of bewitching). A Roof Terrace black-tiedinner followed the performances. All thatpassion and dinner too!
