Hispanic designers presented a special tribute to the Red, White and Blue on the runwayat their 17th annual fashion show benefit at the Capital Hilton Hotel on October11, and designer Manuel Cuevas went one step farther, offering a new clothing linefeaturing those patriotic symbols -the bald eagle, the stars and stripes, and cowboy hats(rhinestone ones). Some of the other designers featured in the show were Oscarde la Renta, Fernando Sanchez, Manolo, Carolina Herrera, Eddie Rodriguez, DavidRodriguez, Estevan Ramos, David Cardona, and Victoria Lopez Castro.Proceeds benefited Hispanic families affected by the Pentagon and New York disasters,as well as Hispanic Designers, Inc.’s annual scholarship program.
