On April 28, over 500 patrons of the Washington Ballet gathered at theChancery of the Italian Embassy for a black-tie celebration inspired by theBallet’s season finale, “Romeo and Juliet,” which opened on May 10th.After the cocktail reception, prima ballerina Carla Fracci and artistic directorSeptime Webre waltzed to an excerpt from “Swan Lake.” Following the performance,guests enjoyed an Italian gourmet dinner, accompanied by dancing.Over $250,000 was raised at the benefit.
