| Gentlemen Take Your Corners Fight Night, the macho smoker packed a punch. Boxing luminaries Jake "Raging Bull"LaMotta, former heavyweight champions Evander Holyfield and "Smokin' Joe" Frazier,Sugar Ray Leonard, Ken Norton, Leon Spinks, Earnie Shavers and Carmen Basilio werejoined at the Hilton Washington and Towers on November 7 by composer Quincy Jones, basketballsuperstar Michael Jordan, former pro football player and politicianJack Kemp, and local moguls Raul Fernandez, Roger Mody, andJack Davies. Musical entertainment was provided by rock n' rolllegend Chuck Berry. Fight Night, founded by Joseph E. Robert, Jr.,benefits the Fight for Children organization, which has raised over$53 million in the past twelve years to aid area youth.
