In their place,guests sporting elegant tweeds, suede and leather gatheredon Member's Hill and railside for tailgating parties at the65th International Gold Cup at Great Meadow in ThePlains, Virginia. Although the sun was missing for muchof the festivities on October 19, it didn't dim the spirits ofthe crowd who came to view the steeplechase event, oneof the most prestigious timber races in the country, withpurses totaling over $100,000.
