Esteemed members, term members, fellows and ambassadors got together atthe Massachusetts Avenue offices of the Council on Foreign Relations for somegood old-fashioned holiday cheer and foreign policy talk. Not surprising forthe times, the main topic of conversation overheard concerned variousMiddle East conflicts. The Council, a nonpartisan membership organization, publisher, and research center, was founded in 1921 and provides a forumfor bringing together foreign policy elite and decision makers, developing a newgeneration of thinkers and generating solid and workable ideas on a broadrange of global issues.
