Joe Robert hosted an intimate fundraising dinner for Ecuadorian Ambassador IvonneA-Baki at Cafe Milano in late August that brought together Jim Kimsey, Queen Noor,former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, Redskins owner Dan Snyder, Joe Robert, JackKemp, Debbie Sigmund, and the ambassadors of Afghanistan, Qatar, and the United ArabEmirates, among others. A-Baki recently resigned her ambassadorial post, announcingher campaign for the Presidency of Ecuador. She cited her close ties in Washington as beinginvaluable in securing vital political and economic assistance for her country at a criticalstage in its development. A reception in the Domingo Room preceded the intimate (38guests) dinner.
