Aficionados of the Bard paid $1,000 perperson to attend the Folger ShakespeareLibrary�s 70th anniversary gala that celebratedthe library�s founders as well asShakespeare�s works on April 12. Aseated dinner in the Library�s OldReading Room followed cocktails in theGreat Hall. Some of the gala guests:actress Lynn Redgrave, former SenatorAlan Simpson and his wife Ann, Billeand Wallace Holladay, Samia and HudaFarouki. The event Chairs were Forrestand Jacqueline Mars. The gala benefitedthe Folger�s nationally renowned pre-collegeeducation outreach programs.
