20th Anniversary Celebration of the Diane Rehm Show |
Twenty Years and Still Talking
Thoughtfulness, skill, and a distinctive voice are all words used to describe WAMU talk-show host Diane
Rehm, whose twenty years on the job were celebrated with a gala benefit at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
The event, which included a reception and dinner, featured toasts by many well-known fans, including Mary
Matalin, Jim Lehrer, Donna Shalala, and Kweisi Mfume. The reception brought devotees of the “Diane Rehm
Show” together to raise money to benefit the Diane Rehm Fund for Public Dialogue, which, through WAMU,
will implement programs that foster creative, constructive, and civil dialogue about a broad range of
issues.
Honorary Chair: First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton
Co-Chairs: Mary Beth Busby, Jane Holmes Dixon, Bitsey Folger, June Hechinger and Kate Lehrer
