Twelve Days of Christmas Twelve gracious hostesses donated their time at Anzu in Adams Morgan on December 11 to collect gifts, toiletries, children’s clothing, shoes and toys for three needy families recommended by D.C. Child and Family Services. Each guest received a detailed wish list from the families for things that were most needed. The event raised over $2000 in gifts and donations including
Christmas dinners and trees with ornaments which were delivered to the
families the following weekend. Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. began in Houston,
Tex. in 1999 when 12 friends decided to provide Christmas for 12 less fortunate
families. In just a short time, chapters opened in D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles
and Beaumont, Tex. Last year was the first year for the D.C. chapter.
