Hottest Ticket in Town
Guests and party-crashers lined up on the rainy red carpet around midnight
(all
but those VIP’s, who sailed past the line) to get into Washington’s
hottest afterparty
of the year on May 1, following the annual White House correspondents’
dinner. The Bloomberg party, hosted by New York-based Bloomberg News,
attracts politicians, celebs and correspondents and a lot of paparazzi.
No
wonder— in addition to actors Ben Affleck, Minnie Driver and Drew
Barrymore,
famous faces included New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady,
Al
Franken, as well as numerous Washington celebutantes.
