Children’s Law Center Celebration & Benefit
Making a Difference in Children’s Lives

More than 400 guests gathered at the Kennedy Center’s Roof Terrace Restaurant on September 22 to celebrate and support the work of The Children’s Law Center. As the guests mingled with friends old and new, they were treated to a signature rum drink and the sounds of flamenco guitar by Richard Marlow. Marilyn and Eddie Egerton were awarded The Children’s Law Center’s 2004 Distinguished Child Advocate award for opening their hearts and homes to more than 25 foster children over the past 10 years. The benefit was co-chaired by Mariella Trager and Valorie Danto-Sharpe, who helped raise almost $200,000 for the center, which provides free legal service to D.C.’s abused and neglected children.
