Quin Tango Guests swooned and swayed at the National Museum of Women
in the Arts following the world premier of actor Robert Duvall’s tango
composition, “Volvere,” on November 19. Duvall and his new bride,
Luciana Pedraza, served as honorary co-chairs of the gala, and
performed with Quin Tango, a world-renowned music group and finalist
at New York City’s 2004 International Tango Competition. Event
chairwoman Dianne Alfandre offered tango lessons to guests prior to the
occasion, preparing them to dance alongside the skilled experts. The
evening raised $50,000 for the Shenson Chamber Music Concerts, an
annual concert series run by artistic directors Gilan Tocco Corn and Linda
Hohenfeld Slatkin. |
