Pre-Inaugural Party at Teatro Goldoni
Bipartisan Bash
Washington’s politically-minded partiers kicked off the Inaugural festivities
two weeks prior to the event at a bash hosted by Craig Crawford and
Janet Donovan at Teatro Goldoni on January 5. Political commentator
Mark Russell provided hilarious political commentary at the piano while
Congessional Quarterly’s Mike Mills, Desson Thomson of The Washington
Post and Tina and Spike Karalikis took turns at the piano. Other guests
included Virginia Governor Mark Warner, Congressional Quarterly
publisher Bob Merry, lobbyist Tom Quinn, Atlantic Media president John
Fox Sullivan, veteran correspondent Helen Thomas and Time magazine’s
Matt Cooper. Conservative author Ann Coulter was invited but was
unable to attend, so Crawford and Donovan thought she could be there
in absentia— lining the bar at Teatro Goldoni with talking Ann Coulter
action figures.
