THE EVENT:
An amusing and
eclectic mix of artists, models,
writers and very social
Georgetowners turned out in “Soho Chic” attire for Deborah
Gore Dean and Washington
Life’s party to celebrate
Gore Dean Antiques new
location and Los
Angeles artist
Dianna Cohen’s“New Works
In plastic” exhibit
in June.§
THINKING
OF ALTERNATIVES:
The fabulous
new Cady’s
Alley location is filled with
antiques and unique gift items
ranging from $60 to $75,000,
so guests got to indulge their
shopaholic whims as they
admired Cohen’s colorful abstract
work of sewn together
plastic, which the artist hopes
will encourage viewers to
think about the environment
in alternative ways. Design
Cuisine served mini Philly
cheese steaks and hamburgers
along with fancier fare as
guests sipped champagne,
people watched from
the balcony and
danced to 70’s
disco hits.§
