Homeland Security Chief
Tom Ridge, Alan Greenspan,

were spotted in the

SOLVING
THE CRIME:
Speculation
was rife on who served as
inspiration for many of the
novel’s characters. One easy
choice was Dominick Dunne,
whose alter ego in the book
is Larry Locke , a journalist
who reports on famous
murder cases.
