10th Anniversary of the Recreation Wish List Committee
An Evening at the Net
Tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams joined over 600 guests on
April 27 for “An Evening at the Net” to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of
D.C.’s Recreation Wish List Committee, which provides quality athletic
facilities throughout the city. Pam Shriver, Yolanda Adams and Mayor
Anthony Williams were there to show support for The Southeast Tennis and
Learning Center, one of the top tennis facilities in the nation. Guests dressed
in their best tennis attire for the reception and dinner, which benefited the
D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation programs.
