THE EVENT: Venture Philanthropy Partners and WL hosted an intimate dinner and private screening of Kicking It, the independent fi lm produced by a group of Washingtonians, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in February. The fi lm, which chronicles soccer players in the Homeless World Cup, received critical and audience acclaim in Park City, and is slated for the Tribeca and SILVERDOCS fi lm festivals before its release in theaters.
