THE PARTY
In 1847 jeweler Louis-Francois Cartier took over the Parisian workshop of Adolphe Picard. December 7th, 2005 might not carry the same signifi cance in Cartier’s history, but for metro area high-end shoppers, it is defi nitely a date worth noting as it marked the opening of the luxury brand’s new boutique at The Collection in Chevy Chase.
