THE EVENT
The Week, which compiles some of
the best articles, opinions and cartoons from across
U.S. and international media every seven days, held
its annual Opinion Awards to honor their picks
for columnist of the year, blogger of the year and
editorial cartoonist of the year. Nicholas Kristof
of the New York Times (columnist), Ed Morrissey
of Captainsquarterblog.com (blogger) and Mike
Luckovich of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
(cartoonist) were this year’s awardees.
THE SCENE
Senator Chris Dodd spoke about the need for a
federal shield law. Guests were also treated to a
panel moderated by Sir Harold Evans discussing the
role of White House correspondents.
THE GUESTS
