Castle for one of many Hurricane
Katrina benefi ts held in Washington
to raise money for the American
Red Cross and the Salvation
Army.

The
Brewmaster Castle belonged to
America’s fi rst brewer, Christian
Heurich, who lived to be 102.
Guests took tours of the “haunted” castle, while others mingled
outside among a tiki-torched lawn.
Caretakers report that late at
night you can hear someone playing
the piano.

Hadley Gamble,
Ashley Taylor, Steve Andronico,
Caleb Ward and other members
of D.C.’s younger social set came
out to support the worthy cause.
The event raised over $5,000 for
the hurricane relief eff ort.
