About 65 guests walked the red carpet into the ornately-adorned showroom, where they were greeted by Jim Coleman and served a selection of Virginia wines by Loudoun Valley Vineyards and nibble-friendly hors d’oeuvres by MK Catering, Inc. A seductive jazz trio, Olivera Music Entertainment, provided a lively backdrop of improvised blue notes, while Frost Lighting, Janet Flowers Wedding and Event Designer, Professional Bartenders and Servers and Capital Party Rentals provided the seductive backdrop of spotlights, white roses, tuxedoed waiters and fine china.
PAMPERING OPTIONS: The new 2010 model of the Cadillac SRX, a mid-sized crossover SUV, was clearly the event’s star attraction, perched proudly atop a red carpet platform in the center of the showroom.
Produced by Cadillac’s Lansing Grand River Plant since 2004, guests gushed at some of the standard features of the 5-door SUV, including its built-in navigation system, heated front seats, wood interior trim and all-leather interior.
The SRX won Car and Driver’s Five Best Trucks “luxury SUV” award for 2004, 2005 and 2006. “We’ve had a hard time keeping this particular new model in stock,” said dealership owner Jim Coleman.
“Our waiting list for the 2010 model extends to December.” The base price for the SRX is $38,880 for the V6 model and $45,880 for the V8 version.
