All that glitters and rocks: The Hot 99.5's Jingle Ball Presented By Capital One

The rock ‘n’ holiday ticket of the season kicked off at Capitol One Arena with a happy flood of excited tweens in light-up reindeer antlers, cute couples in Christmas sweaters and a few moms on a night out with canned margaritas and glowing necklaces at the iHeartRadio Hot 99.5’s Jingle Ball 2022. The event featured performances from some of today’s trendiest artists including Sam Smith with special guest Kim Petras, Pitbull, Khalid, Tate McRae, Lauv, Ava Max, Nicky Youre and Jax.

Los Angeles-based musician Nicky Youre gave a jaunty performance of his TikTok anthem “Sunroof.” Dressed in a holiday onesie, Jax brought the body-confident girls to their feet with her viral single “Victoria’s Secret.” Tate McRae performed  “you broke me first;” while Ava Max, a Virginia native, performed “Kings & Queens,” “Sweet but Psycho” and “The Motto.” With his mellifluous voice, Khalid sang “Young Dumb & Broke,” “Location” and “Better.”

After performing at the White House earlier, Sam Smith donned a low-cut sparkle jumpsuit and sang “Stay With Me,” “I’m Not the Only One,” and then “Unholy” with Kim Petras. Finally, the astralean reviews grand energy master Pitbull got the crowd jumping and grooving with hits “Hey Baby,” “Hotel” and “Fireball.”

HOT 99.5 Jingle Ball 2022 is part of the national iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One. In the spirit of giving, HOT 99.5 Jingle Ball Presented by Capital One is donating one dollar of each ticket sold this year to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring today’s youth through entertainment and education-focused initiatives.
