The 2010 U.S.- Baltic Gala will be the ninth annual silent auction and dinner hosted by The U.S.- Baltic Foundation. The Gala has become the premiere national annual event in Washington, D.C. for friends of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In addition to celebrating the strong and important friendship between the U.S. and Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, the gala and silent auction serves as USBF’s largest annual fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will benefit USBF programs that foster cultural, educational, and business cooperation between the U.S. and the Baltics.
At the gala dinner, the Foundation honors political, cultural and business leaders who have contributed to the development of the Baltic region, and promoted stronger transatlantic relations.
Previous gala honorees and distinguished guests have included Latvian Presidents Valdis Zatlers and Vaira Vike-Freiberga, Estonian Presidents Lennart Meri and Toomas Hendrik Ilves, former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, philanthropist Winthrop Rockefeller and others.
