An evening where it’s more than cocktails that keep visitors entertained.

Phillips after 5 is a fun-filled affair held on the first Thursday of every month at the Phillips Collection. This month’s event brought in full force the young art buffs of the district, who then enjoyed live jazz featuring Maureen Mullaney, gallery talk and modern art over cocktails and delectable bites.
Models walked around the exhibits mingling with guests, dressed in flowing dresses by renowned fashion designers like Nicole Miller and Aidan Mattox among others.
Visitors closely studied and discussed paintings and sculptures by Georgia O’Keeffe on display at the ongoing exhibit titled ‘Georgia O’Keeffe: Abstraction’. The exhibition displays over 100 works of O’Keeffe, ranging from the charcoals of 1915, to abstract art which features bones and flowers, to the watercolors of 1970s. It also includes Alfred Stieglitz’s 14 photographic portraits of O’Keeffe. Stieglitz circle’s installation is also on display as part of the permanent collection at Phillips for which visitors don’t have to pay the exhibition price to see the works.
Guests included Lucille B. Pilling, Elizabeth Ryan, Katarina Trojnar, Geoffery Brand, Connie Winterstein, Arzinda Jalil, Ben Rickman, Mary Dalrynple, Scott Wallace and Meg Walsh.
