L’Enfant Society hosts more than 800 of Washington’s young philanthropists as they dance the night away

Windblown was the look du jour at the L’Enfant Society’s second annual Ball on the Mall. With two spectacular tents set up, one for dinner and another for dancing and dessert, the revelers at the sold-out black-tie affair moved from speeches and supper to DJs and photo ops.
After all, there are only so many times you find yourself in a tuxedo with the Capitol on one side and the Washington Monument on the other.
It was hard not to relive the 80s with celebrity guest Ricky Schroder in attendance, and while there were rumors that Whitney Houston was going to make a cameo, the starlette was not able to make it. Never mind. It was still one of the best events of the year with more than 800 of Washington’s young philanthropists dancing till the lights came on.
Check out our extended photo gallery for more pictures from the night.
