Who doesn’t love an autumn night full of art, music, friends and food in the nation’s capital? On Friday, Oct. 1 the Corcoran will be celebrating the launch of its new contemporary gallery  NOW at Night . Emerging artists look forward to sharing their vivid exhibitions in a night that you don’t want to miss. Dance and mingle to the beats of ESL Music DJs,  sip on art-inspired cocktails, and indulge in an exquisite dessert buffet all while feasting your eyes on the permanent installations of modern and contemporary art. Proceeds benefit future NOW exhibitions, and did we mention an after-party?

A Look Into the Evening…

Among DC’s most passionate art optimists will be special guest and D.C. native Chris Martin. Martin is a brilliant and flourishing artist whose work is sure to catch your eye. Reminiscing on music, literature, and the human relationship to the natural world, Martin creates artwork which incorporates both the abstract and the physical world. In addition to an exhibition and public intervention, three of Martin’s 40-foot-high paintings will be showcased, creating an anything-but-average setting for this exciting evening.
