When Todd and Michelle met on Match.com in September 2007, they knew it was a perfect romance. They got engaged one year later and, on New Years Eve of 2009, had their wedding, which was featured in the Washington Post. After the Brackens got married, they dedicated their time to opening  Frosting, a “cupcakery,” in Chevy Chase. After hearing about Michelle and Todd’s fairytale story, publisher True Vows, whose other books include Chicken Soup for the Soul, went after the couple to feature them in a new reality-based romance novel. The result? Icing on the Cake, published on September 13 2010, shares Michelle and Todd’s story of how they met on Match.com, got married, and opened up a cupcake shop. This book proves there’s nothing more delicious than real-life romance. So don’t forget to stop by Frosting and check out Icing on the Cake!
