On Saturday, September 11, 2010, clients of PR firm MoKi Media mingled with fashionistas and local celebrities at the World of Burberry Fashion show held at Saks Tysons Galleria. The show put the spotlight on March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization that promotes the worthy cause of prenatal and infant health. Hiba Hakki, COO of Georgetown’s Luxxery Express joined Doreen Drewry Lehr, author of “A Girl’s War: A Childhood Lost in Britain’s WWII Evacuation” in support of the good cause. Lynni Megginson, The Virtual Golf Girl and designer of virtual golf rooms, mingled with Redskins’ Linebacker Andre Carter and his wife Bethany Carter, who modeled Burberry clothing. Many others turned up to demonstrate their support, from former Redskins Ade Jimoh to Chef Rock Harper, Hell’s Kitchen winner, and even Steve Chenevey, Fox 5 morning anchor. The fashion show was gorgeous, and an ingenious way to raise awarness for March of Dimes. But glitz aside, this was a fashion fete with a purpose- supporting children’s health!
