Washington, D.C. officially has a new power couple. Dr. Eliot Battle and his wife Sally, owners of Cultura medical spa in Chevy Chase,MD, were married in an environment set for royalty.
Attendees included close family and friends, all of whom were treated to a wonderful experience filled with hospitality and the charm of a beautiful lady and a gentleman.
The Ritz Carlton in San Juan, Puerto Rico
The wedding and reception were held at the Ritz Carlton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Attending the wedding was Dr. Battle’s father, Dr. Eliot F. Battle, Sr., his three sisters, Donna Pierce, Carolyn Thomas, Muriel Browder, Dr. Battle’s oldest daughter, Joi Elazier-Battle, the couple’s children Alexis Battle (7) and Olivia Battle (2), and their first nanny and dear friend, Mary Thomas.
Attending the wedding for the bride, Sally, was her mother, Sadako Lang, father, Ruben Baker, brother, Ed Lang, sister, Calina Gibbs, and niece and nephew, Calyssa and Caleb Gibbs.
The couple shared a memorable honeymoon in Durban and Cape Town, South Africa with an exclusive experience in Dubai prior to returning to Washington.

In Cape Town the Battles stayed at the world class Cape Grace Hotel, situated in the iconic center of Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, waking up every morning to the sounds of barking seals. On one occasion while coming down from Table Top Mountain lift, the newlyweds ran into their good friends, Ola Cole-Laryea and her family and Peggy Cooper Cafritz, founder of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, who coincidentally was the flower girl in Dr. Battle’s parents’ wedding in Mobile, AL.
In Dubai, the Battles stayed in the world famous Panoramic Suite at the Burg Al Arab. The two-story suite came with its own butler and offered magnificent views of the Arabian Gulf through floor to ceiling glass windows complete with a spiral staircase leading to the beautiful master bedroom.

One of Dr. Battle’s patients arranged through her good friends, who are top executives in Dubai, for the couple to have a personal driver throughout their honeymoon and to be personally escorted through the Dubai International Airport and bypass all lines.
This powerhouse couple will indeed live happily-ever-after.
