A Green Mountain Coffee survey reveals Washingtonians value nothing more than their coffee.

Crave that cup of coffee in the morning? A little jolt mid-day? Maybe something to keep you going after work? You’re not alone. Green Mountain Coffee recently commissioned a survey on DC’s coffee habits in celebration of Fair Trade Month, an effort to raise awareness that Fair Trade means higher quality coffee and sustainable farming practices.
The results of the survey were nothing short of surprising- 23% of capital residents would rather give up their car than their joe. 48% would give up television- apparently caffeine is even more addictive than Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Still think you visit the coffee shop more than your neighbors? Think again- 67% of DC residents drink coffee daily, and 45% drink four or more cups a day.
Four cups? I’m wide awake just thinking about it! I raise my coffee mug to you DC, and urge you keep on sipping- just make sure it’s Fair Trade brew that satisfies your craving.
