Ronald McDonald House celebrated its 30th year of making a difference in DC.

When you were a kid, Ronald McDonald might have put a smile on your face. But to thousands of children in DC, Ronald McDonald has given more than just a smile. For the past 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities has helped the capital’s helping children in need. At a recent event, the charity celebrated the local supporters who helped them achieve this remarkable milestone.
Steve Smithgall, the president of DC’s Balfour Beatty division, was one of the many local VIPs to show their support for the charity. Mr. Smithgall and Balfour Beatty have been instrumental in the building of the new Ronald McDonald House in the district.
Another local mogul, Dennis Prescott, the Vice President of TD Bank, also attended the event- even stopping for a picture with the clown himself!
In the past 30 years, over 19,000 children in DC have been helped by the services of Ronald McDonald House- and that’s certainly something to celebrate!
Hopefully over the next 30 years the charity will deliver even more assistance to children in need.
