Fashion for Paws’ showcased runway photos to help the capital’s cutest cause- animals in need.

What do red hot runway photos and puppies have in common? Both were the focus of Fashion for Paws’ first photography exhibit held at L2 in Georgetown. Fashion for Paws, a fundraising program of the Washington Humane Society, has long been putting on haute coture runway shows each year to support the capital’s cutest cause- animals in need. This year, the organization decided to showcase the best photos from their runway history as a precursor to Fotoweek DC.
The event was hosted by Revamp.com, an online site for fashion addicts, and drew a crowd of local VIPs,
fashionistas, and animal devotees. Among the night’s dapper attendees were Tiffany Carter, Steuart Martens, Jessica Gibson, and Jan Cousteau. Tara de Nicolas, Kristina D’Ambrosio, Daniel Swartz, and Amanda Polk also turned out to demonstrate their support for the cause. But the photos were just the beginning of the evening’s entertainment- guests sipped cocktails, gave four-legged attendees a cuddle, and mingled late into the night.
Most importantly, the event was a smashing success, raising over three thousand dollars for the Humane Society.
Hopefully there will be a sequel to this innagural photography exhibit- we’re smitten kittens for the cause!
