Bloomingdale’s teamed up with The Washington Ballet to showcase Fall fashions with an artistic flair.
Combining pirouttes and pumps? Genius! At Bloomingdale’s, this year’s fall fashion show used The Washington Ballet’s world-class dancers, as well as the Jeté Society , Women’s Committee members, and members of the Board of Directors to showcase the season’s top trends.Co-chair Staci Capuano also noted that TWB was thrilled to partner again this year with Bloomingdale’s, whose leadership in fashion and extraordinary generosity made them the ideal partner for the event.
The show was a glimpse into past glamor- though it never ceased to feel current.
Co-chair Barbara McConaghy Johnson said the show’s styling aimed to mimic a 60’s look by showcasing classic men’s suiting and tailored reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn and Jacki O for a style straight out of Mad Men. After the show, the evening took on a Parisian tone-including a French-themed raffle with a Vegas getaway at the new Cosmopolitan, a Brasserie style reception, and even beret clad servers.
Though dancers were among the many models featured in the show, they weren’t the only guests in the audience!
Cindy and Evan Jones were also in attendance along with Pat Skantz, who mingled with other fashion mavens from the district.
