Furniture color design trends shift to putty and cement bases with 2011 design collections found in DC’s Room and Board.

The 2011 collection for Room and Board has entered the showroom forecasting the upcoming trends in home furnishing pieces. Lisa Scroggins of the Washington, DC store tells that texture is playing a big role as well as neutral colors in grey, cement and putty, which also are strong bases for a pop of color in accent pieces. “We are also focusing on additional options and more choices than ever, especially for small and quirky spaces which are so common in Washington architecture, to help our customers find their ideal solutions.”
The privately, family owned, Minneapolis-based furniture retailer is uses classic and simple designs from local resources and natural materials with more than 90% of the materials produced in the U.S.
