While some prepared for the State of the Union (#SOTU) Tuesday night…

@TheDemocrats The Constitution says the President “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information on the State of the Union.” #SOTUfacts

@CADelargy Lots of big decisions to be made in DC on #SOTU day. Most important for me- and all women over Cap-what shoes to wear for next like 16hrs

@andybaldwin What time is the State of the Union tonight? How long you think it will be? How many times will Biden stand up?

@pwgavin Why, but, of course I have your SOTU drinking game all prepared and ready: http://politi.co/efIupI

…others had different plans…

@kstreetkate sorry no State of the Union for me… I’ll be watching STOMP! (W/ @TylerRBoyd)

@cheeky_geeky Turned off Paul Ryan #SOTU rebuttal on @BloombergTV to watch last night’s @ChelSeaLately with Whitney Port.#hottie

Snow covered the city on Wednesday afternoon, but it didn’t mean sledding and snow ball fights for everyone…

@cityshopgirl Only in DC wld parties, snowballs fights b planned wo a drop of snow on the ground with hopes fed gov will b closed http://bit.ly/e4LLAz

@kellyanncollins Washington #DC has a #SNOWSITCH @itsthesituation

@GlamazonDiaries Because of this snow, I’ve succumbed to sad romantic songs from James Blunt, Eva Cassidy, Gloria Estefan, Mary J. Blige among others.

@RichAmons Playing a game”’when will the power come back on” in Mclean? Before or after @ebongeka plows our driveway?

@Ebongeka Worse nite for power outage: Jersey Shore, RHOBH reunion, Ricky Gervais on the Office, Parks & Rec. #3rdWorldLiving #nopowersucks#ebong

And although the Internet was shut down as a result of protests in Egypt that erupted this week, the politicos in D.C. have been full of commentary…

@JaredCohen One Egyptian says, “facebook used to set the date, twitter used to share logistics, youtube to show the world, all to connect people” #jan25

@JPFreire Doesn’t the Egyptian government realize that the only thing that was quelling civil unrest in the first place was cute photos of kittens?!

@KatherineKenned Thank you mother nature for canceling my Rollerblading Marathon in Egypt I would be doing right now… prayers for those in #egypt
