Orin Solomon is a champion. With his wife as his anchor, Mr. Solomon has achieved a level of success in business, family, and community that personifies the power of meaningful life in the capital of our extraordinary nation.
Mr. Solomon’s formative years were spent under the tutelage of the clergy of the legendary St. Augustine’s parish and school, which has a 150 year tradition of instilling devotion to faith and excellence in Washington DC. St. Augustine’s holds the distinction of being the oldest African American parish in the Archdiocese of Washington. After graduating from St. Augustine’s, Solomon attended Archbishop Carroll High School where as a starting quarterback he led the team to 3 championships in 4 years, culminating in a historic recognition as the Catholic Youth Organization athlete of the year in 1988. As the first high school player ever to receive this honor, Solomon joined other notable recipients of the award Roger Staubauch, Hall of Fame Quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, John Thompson legendary coach of the Georgetown Hoyas, and James Brown television analyst for the National Football League.
Upon graduating from Villanova as a celebrated four year starter on the football team, Mr. Solomon dedicated his professional effort and personal energy to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as a social worker, putting into action the values instilled in him at St. Augustine’s. In 1993 while pursuing a masters degree and aiding the Catholic parishes of Philadelphia, Mr. Solomon made a calculated business decision to leverage his leadership qualities and personal drive to enter the world of business. Now eighteen years later, Mr. Solomon is Chairman of Anjacor Marketing, a Largo, MD based marketing company that Mr. Solomon has led representing millions of dollars in global technology sales. While the last two decades have witnessed an exponential growth in digital personal and business communication, Solomon’s company has been pivotal in selling various versions of the latest phone, video and internet technology around the world.
The success of Mr. Solomon is rooted in his down to earth presence, unrelenting personal energy and the consistent and unbreakable bond that he shares with his wife of 13 years, Angela, herself an accomplished attorney and entrepreneur. As seasoned and successful marketing professionals, Orin and Angela have been invited to be guest judges on the upcoming season of Donald Trump’s widely watched and highly rated NBC television show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.” The episode will air on March 27, 2011.
