The 85 person theater holds both private and public events

Located in the heart of Georgetown, the Letelier Theater holds private and public film screenings, performances, lectures and events.  The theater is tucked away in a courtyard, away from the bustle of the Georgetown business district that surrounds it.  It was dedicated to former Chilean Ambassador, Orlando Letelier’s vision of having a meeting place to hold events that would engage moral and artistic imagination in our nation’s capital. Letelier theater boasts holding an annual French Short Film Festival every year in the beginning of February that this year showcased 38 of the best short films chosen by 2,00 professionals from the cinema.  The next upcoming event to be held is the Kids World Cinema on May 20th.  This showcase will aim to introduce international children’s films to the children of Washington.  To find out more about the theater and upcoming events, visit the Letelier Theater online.
