If you want to get in touch with your inner Italian, it’s best to do it one bite at a time. On Tuesday, June 7 author Domenica Marchetti helps facilitate that connection by hosting an evening to celebrate the release of her latest book, The Glorious Pasta of Italy, at Bibiana. The restaurant’s executive chef, Nicholas Stefanelli, will prepare a six-course meal based on the cookbook. “This book is essentially my love letter to one of the world’s greatest foods,” explains Marchetti. “The recipes run the gamut from really simple weeknight pasta dishes to one-of-a-kind showstoppers that are true labors of love.”
The dinner will include dishes such as curried spaghetti with mussels and shrimp and cannelloni with radicchio, ricotta, and mozzarella, as well as a sweet almond and walnut stuffed calcionetti pasta for dessert.
The event is limited to 40 guests.
Tickets are $90 and include dinner, wine and a copy of The Glorious Pasta of Italy (Tax and gratuity not included). A reception starts at 6:30 and dinner follows at 7 PM. Make a reservation by calling (202) 216-9550.
