Oktoberfest is one of the most famous events in Germany with more than six million people attending every year. But if you missed your chance to travel to Munich, we’ve got you covered: You can celebrate Oktoberfest right here in DC!
Blob’s Park Oktoberfest
This event is known as America’s first Oktoberfest – it’s a Maryland family tradition since 1933! Bring your entire family and enjoy great food, beer and Gemütlichkeit! Dance to bands like City Sound and the Bairisch und Steierisch Dancers or Polka Family and SuGTV Washingtonia Schuhplattler Dancers. Oktoberfest Cruise
What would you say to an Oktoberfest cruise aboard the luxurious yacht? This round trip excursion mixes German culture against the backdrop of the nation’s captial. The yacht, furnished by Capital Yacht, will make you feel like a celebrity for the evening. Enjoy a German beer at one of the two bars or sample German sausages at the buffet. You can dance to live German music or just take in the spectacular moonlight views of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument or Old Town Alexandria.

Germantown Oktoberfest
Visit this authentic Oktoberfest in Maryland’s Germantown to enjoy a fun-filled day of live music and performances, German and international food, family games, exhibits by local craftsmen and artists. Sit down in the Germantown Oktoberfest Biergarten or show off your waltz and polka skills on the dance floor! The best part? Oktoberfest Party at Germany’s Goethe Institute
Celebrate the famous Oktoberfest with an open bar featuring some of Germany’s best beers. Plus, enjoy DC’s German Dance Troupe: the Alpine Dancers! Dressed in the traditional Oktoberfest costume, the troupe will preform to classic songs. Think you have what it takes? There will be German dance lessons after the performance!
