Nudity at Fashion Week, More Recaps, and Guess Whose Pink Mansion is Up for Sale?
By Nichole Devolites

Burberry Fall 2012

For those that remember, Philip Bloch came to town for Tysons Galleria’s All Access Fashion in 2010.  Since then, it seems his popularity continues to sky rocket.  From styling high-end clients to celebrities, see who he has on his sights next.

One lady that doesn’t mind wearing less… a lot less… was found running around in nothing but pink underwear and Reeboks, during Fashion Week.  It seems someone failed to tell her when Cupid’s Undie Run actually was.

Who was absent during fashion week that would have made a bigger splash than a streaker: Andrej Pejic. Don’t know who he is?  Read all about him here and why he was absent.

Coco Rocha is one lucky lady.  She nabbed an interview with Michael Kors backstage.  Then again, all his models show up on-time, which makes getting an interview in just a bit easier.

If you have ever attended Fashion Week and come home to get bombarded by questions that you repeatedly have to answer, then you’re not Anna WintourThe writers at The Cut were nice enough to provide a recap on her behalf.

… and although the week went seemingly smooth (compared to last season’s after-party meltdowns), don’t think Occupy Wall Street didn’t try to shut down a show.  See which one they targeted and failed.

If you have been following fashion week, it has been the season of funky nail colors and makeup to match.  See how Narciso Rodriguez created the looks for his show.

View the recap of the last of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week here:

Ralph Lauren, L’Wren Scott, Calvin Klein

The best and worst of the after-parties

Stephen Jones’ take on his crazy hats for Marc Jacobs – I think Jamiroquai would have approved.

…and how did Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week come to a close?  With a bang of course.  See which old school rock band closed the week off right.

On a more somber note, New York socialites and the fashion world are still mourning the loss of Zelda Kaplan.  In memory of her, The Cut pulled an old interview out of their vault – there are some great things to live by in this interview!

February 17th kicked off London Fashion Week.

Other highlights of London Fashion Week include:

Plastic rain at the Burberry show

Vivienne Westwood criticizing an entire country for being poorly dressed (hint: DC is off the hook this time!)

Sarah Burton’s presentation of McQ’s first runway show

Nude models walk the runway for a hat show (warning, pictures are not all sensored)

Printed puffer jackets

The announcement that Prince Charles will kick off London’s Mens’ Fashion weekend in June

So now that London Fashion Week has come and gone, it’s time to celebrate Milan.  Take a look at the early shows that have already taken place:

Alberta Ferretti, N°21, John Richmond

In other random fashion news, Lara Stone framed her wedding dress.

… and speaking of tight clothing… it looks like restrictive garments can lead to paralysis.   It can also lead to psychological disorders when you gain an ounce (cue sarcasm).

In other measurement-related news.  It appears as though the economy is on the up and up, since hemlines are getting shorter again.

Last week I announced a Diane von Furstenberg bag that is also an iPad holder.  Not to be outdone, Richard Nicoll has worked with Vodafone to produce this chic wonder.

In just a few short weeks, H&M will debut its next collaboration: Marni.  See the full lookbook and prices here.

Another sneak peek: Bond No 9’s new fragrance.

.. and now for a fashion break: Nicki Minaj has gone smurf blue and a whole slew of women are going gray… on purpose.

Pink more your color?  The late Mary Kay Ash’s (of Mary Kay cosmetics) pink mansion in Dallas is up for sale.  No, her pink Cadillac is not included.

Heading to Paris in March?  Don’t miss the carnival March 11-12 in Paris’ Jardin des Tuileries.  See which hip boutique is putting it on and who else is involved.
