Everyone loves a good party, and what’s better than a “party with a cause?” That’s how Sweetgreen, the restaurant mastermind behind this annual celebration, describes the Sweetlife Food and Music Festival. This year’s mash-up is on April 28th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.

The festival features savory food with hip-swinging music from local and national rock, alternative, electronic, and hip-hop artists, all while helping to promote sustainability. This eco-friendly event proves that nothing goes better with great food than even greater music.

Although this is only its second year, Sweetlife is already making waves in the food and music industries. This year’s catering comes from not only Sweetgreen, but Serious Eats, José Andrés’ Pepe Truck, Fresh Farm, Keany Produce, Momofuku Milk Bar, Pleasant Pops, and more. The accompanying music to the delicious food includes Avicii, Kid Cudi, The Shins, Explosions in the Sky, Fitz and the Tantrums, A$ap Rocky, and FUN.

Sweetgreen was founded in 2007 by three college students with aspirations of reminding college-aged kids about the importance of the environment through organic and delicious food options. Sweetlife takes place at the Merriweather Post Pavolion because of its 40-acre landmass located only 30 minutes outside of Washington.
