With the DNC‘s record-breaking 52,000 tweets per minute last night, it’s no surprise that it’s one of the top stories for this week’s social media report. But while the DNC ended the week almost shutting Twitter down (we’re looking at you Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton), the rest of the country was also watching shenanigans at MTV’s Video Music Awards, while the sartorially inclined put their best outfits forward for fashion week events.
President Obama’s speech was mostly praised across the board, boosting his numbers going into the final stretch of the 2012 Presidential Election.
Meanwhile, on another channel, in another city … one of the music industry’s biggest awards shows went on with its own record-breakers.
