It may be President’s Day weekend, but there’s much more to celebrate in D.C. than past leaders. Try thrilling diamond heists and a “cool” international arts festival.

Celebrate all things Nordic at this month-long festival of traditional and modern arts, music and culture. Gustaf Sjokvist Chamber Choir and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic kick things off on Tuesday.
Visitors from the Past
Monday, February 18
11 a.m.-1 p.m.; 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
The kids may have the day off, but that doesn’t mean the learning has to stop! Take the kids to the Lincoln Memorial for a first-hand lesson in history, including a spin with a quill.
Friday, February 15-Saturday, February 16
1802 Jefferson Pl. NW
Toast the 10th anniversary of the notorious Antwerp diamond heist with a $1,500 cocktail with real diamonds in a setting worthy of Bugsy Malone. Festivities kick off Friday at 10 p.m. And lest your conscious get the better of you, the evening’s proceeds benefit local charity “Wake Up and Dream.”
