Jazz innovators Rafiq Bhatia, Donvonte McCoy and Todd Marcus are just a few of the musicians lining up for the first iteration of this outdoor festival, which merges a summer music fest with a classic wine tasting and live art from the exuberant Art Whino. A portion of the proceeds benefits Chris4Life, an organization that works to find a cure for colon cancer. Check out the full lineup right here.
Maryland soul chanteuse Reesa Renee wraps up her “Wonderland Cool” tour with a showstopping finale featuring hip-hop and soul artist Incwell, Go-Go band Backyard Band, indie rock/pop band Redline Graffiti and more in what’s sure to be a funky, body-rockin’ night.
Make the last few weeks of summer extra groovy with an indie rock double bill featuring Vancouver-based foursome The Shilohs with Free Time. The Shilohs perform for one night only before heading out on the Southern leg of their first U.S. tour for their debut LP “So Wild.” Take a listen here.
BACK TO SCHOOL BONUS:
Just because it’s almost fall and we’ve got shopping on the brain, we’re tossing this into the mix. Only a handful of tickets remain to this mecca of bargain-hunting featuring upscale goods from area shops at up to 90 percent off. Cocktails, sample sale, charity — it’s got all the required elements for a top-notch day of shopping till you drop. This year, 100 percent of the proceeds go to Bethany Women’s Center at N Street Village.
