Music may be the food of love, but food itself is an integral part of how we celebrate with those we love – and there’s plenty of opportunities to do that this Valentine’s Day weekend.

Union Market, for example, boasts an array of events. At Buffalo & Bergen, enjoy four cocktails 02/12 through 02/14, starting from just $40 – but be sure to email ahead to make a reservation, as seating is extremely limited. You won’t want to miss out on drinks like the What Came First (mescal, candied grapefruit, and pink love) or the Someday (Champagne, persimmon Asian shrub, and gin). Or treat your loved one to an evening out at Righteous Cheese, where you will discover four artisanal cheeses, each paired with unique champagnes, and followed by chocolate. Tickets can be bought for 02/13 or 02/14 for $79.06 here.

Fiola’s Valentine’s Day menu includes five courses – beginning with Cranberry Creek oysters and ending with grapefruit and herb sorbet – and costs $125. For an additional $80, each dish is paired with an appropriate wine, or a premium wine for $100. An à la carte menu is also available.

At Fiola Mare, oysters also begin the meal, which progresses through Nantucket Bay scallops, lobster risotto, and foie gras, to end with roses and cream. There, too, the basic price is $125, with $80 for wine pairings or $110 for premium wines.

At City Perch, enjoy a five-course, chef-driven dining experience including caviar, locally sourced seafood, and your choice of pan roasted duck breast or slow braised crow farms beef short rib. The Bananas Over You dessert, made of chocolate caramel tart, caramelized bananas and vanilla ice cream, is an aptly named and delicious way to end the meal, which costs just $65 per person and includes a glass of bubbly. Dinner is available 02/12 through 02/14. The Bananas Over You dessert is also available as part of the Valentine’s Day brunch menu ($32) on 02/13 and 02/14. Your children aged twelve and under can join in the celebrations at dinner or brunch for an additional $20 for their own meal.

In Georgetown, the Ritz-Carlton presents a Valentine’s Day supper club at 7 pm on Sunday, 02/14. Reservations are required in order to enjoy a five-course prix fixe dinner by candlelight in the beautiful ballroom, for $150, with an accompaniment of old school supper club charm in the form of music by the Lauren White band.
