Opéra and Open-Air | National Gallery of Art Timed Visits

Celebrate the elegance of Degas’ dancers and learn about European artists practicing the skill of open-air painting following the reopening of select galleries at the National Gallery of Art. Temporary exhibitions, such as “Degas at the Opéra,” will run through Oct.12, and “True to Nature: Open-Air Painting in Europe, 1780- 1870” will be available until Nov. 29.The West Building is operating strictly on timed free passes that allow visitors to safely enjoy the exhibitions in accordance with health guidelines. Passes are released each Monday at 10 a.m. for the following week.
