Becky’s Fund teamed up with Eric Finn Custom Clothiers for the second annual “Walk This Way” charity fashion show to support the fight against domestic violence. Held at Capitol Hill’s Liaison Hotel, the event was minimalist and soho-chic, with an over-the-pool runway show featuring local D.C. celebrities as models, such as Redskins running back, Clinton Portis; Washington Redskins offensive tackle, Stephon Heyer; Washington Redskins defensive end, Chris Wilson; former Washington Redskins wide receiver, Gary Clark; D.C. United defensive midfielder, Clyde Simms; and D.C. Diva Okiima Pickett. Among the other models were D.C. United’s Ben Olson and Ladies D.C.’s founder and Congressional Communications Director to Congressman Howard Mckeon, Lindsay Mask. In attendance were investment-banker turned National Gallery of Art volunteer, Allen Lewin, Rolling Stone freelancer Nelson Lewis. Among other were Real Housewives of D.C. stars Paul Wharton and Mary Amons.
The event was emceed by NBC4’s Lindsay Czarniak, and included a pre-show silent auction featuring items donated by sponsors, including ABC, ESPN, OpenSkies, and CBS. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres while enjoying delightful musical performances from jazz sensation Patti Austin. All-in-all it was Pollywood at its finest, partnering up to support the fight against domestic violence!
