Eden Lounge seeks to become all-that-and-a-bag-of-chips with regular “Saved by the ’90s” events – break out the scrunchies, ladies.

Saturday nights in the District are about to become a phat deal (again). Beginning this Saturday Jan 28th, Eden Lounge will be helping club goers get their ’90s nostalgia-fix during monthly “Saved by the ’90s” events. How so? Eden DJs will be on hand playing a mix of 1990’s decade staples – think Salt-n-Pepa, Sublime and Pearl Jam. The themed night will be held every last Saturday of the month until the 2000s begin again. So, if you can’t make it this weekend, don’t have a cow. The usually dance heavy venue is hoping to inject the venerable K Street nightlife scene with some slammin’ fun. We wonder if they’ll use mixed tapes? Wait, that was the ’80s.
And who better to ring in the new event (like a bell) than Dennis Haskins – yes, that’s totally Mr. Belding from T.V. cult favorite Saved By the Bell! The iconic principal will serve as the celebrity guest host for this inaugural event. Be sure to check out February 25th’s event, when rapper/underwear connoisseur Sisquo and Dru Hill are scheduled to perform the summer anthem, “The Thong Song.” Wear your bling, aiight?
In other words: Party on.
